For those that does not know what angry bird is, it is a video game first released on smart phones like the Iphone and the Android where you use a slingshot to shoot down the pigs that are on some kind of structure that they have made with several kinds of rounded birds with different kinds of abilities or strenghts. The unique story, cute cartoon-like graphics, simple gameplay and an easy to pick-up controls has quickly made angry birds as a favorite of both hardcore gamers and casual gamers or those that is new in gaming. Others wanting to hitch a ride with the video game’s success has made several angry bird merchandises like pens, notebooks, cartoons, figurines, plush toys and now its own angry bird board game.

The angry bird board game or the angry bird knock on wood board game is the first board game adaptation of the video game being released. This new board game is not that similar to monopoly but more on the side of hungry hippos and mouse trap or other games like these that have some forms of interaction and not just moving player pieces and playing cards on a square board. This new board game tries to mimic the video game so you can play angry birds in real life.

The angry birds board game will not give you the usual square board to play with but it will give you several pieces of bricks or blocks that have different sizes and length to build a structure with, a few birds and pigs and a slingshot that you can use to propel the birds to shoot down the pigs.

This new board game basically has the same gameplay as the video game. You will need to shoot all the pigs down that is on some kind of structure to win the game but also adds more fun and excitement in terms of making you create the angry birds level yourself by using the blocks included in the box. This angry birds board game can be played by 2 or more players and the one who toppled the pigs successfully in several self-made structures would be declared the winner. You can choose to avoid the rules and the games mechanics totally and just build the structures yourself and have the satisfaction of toppling it down.

But even with these drawbacks, A way to have fun and play angry birds in real life would be with the angry birds board game.
